Questioning is like a giant, endless, feedback loop, and sharing that concept with your children is a great way to show them the value of questioning as a way to understand themselves, others, and the world around them. It is really quite simple. Feedback loops depend on (negative or positive) information. This information is then used to control a thinking process by making adjustments, and adjustments are the key to survival.
See a problem → Ask questions about it →Answer questions → Assess or test your assumptions to see if they are valid → Adjust your thinking and question the answer → Solve the problem →And make your own meaning → Begin again →And again = Justified Belief.
