I had the good fortune to be taught through Socratic Inquiry, focusing heavily on questioning. Socrates never wrote anything down, fortunately his pupil wrote his words down for him, however, and told anybody willing to listen about his master’s Socratic or Maieutic Method: constant questioning. Questions are the midwife of ideas. “Socrates believed disciplined questioning enables students to examine ideas and determine the validity of those ideas.” Plato.
This is true as long as the children are asking and answering the questions. Not the adults.
